AI proposals named Release of the Year at the Digital Disruptor Awards

Socket's AI proposals have been named Release of the Year at The Loop's Digital Disruptor Awards, and we’ve been so honoured to receive the recognition for a release that genuinely changes how practice’s win work. Since launch, the feedback on AI proposals has been some of the best we've had for any feature, so we're pleased the judges' think so too. Thank you to the panel, and to The Loop for putting on a diverse award night that celebrates the industry so well.

Why we built AI proposals

Proposals have traditionally taken time to get right. You can have a great discovery call, know exactly what the client needs, and then the momentum drains away while you sit down to type it all up. So we built great UI, easy to set-up templates and customisable settings, and it helped, but we always knew it could be even faster. Enter, AI.

By connecting the conversation you've just had to the services, pricing, and templates you already have in Socket, plus your practice’s tone of voice, we can give you a first draft thats 80-90% of the way there.

The goal was to use AI to produce something genuinely useful instead of more slop to review, and we (and Digital Disruptors) think we’ve created it.

What it does today

AI Proposals is built with strong guardrails and works for new business, renewals or mid-year scope changes alike.

Give it whatever you've got from the conversation: a transcript, an email, or some rough notes typed on the train home. Socket reads it, identifies the client, picks out their pain points, matches them to the services in your pricing list, and structures the whole thing into a draft proposal for you to review.

The draft is built on your data, so the services are yours, the prices are yours, and the design template is yours. The intro is written for that client, referencing what they actually said. And to give you even more confidence, the AI will never invent details you didn’t give it, and where Socket has had to make a judgement call, it tells you, so you know exactly where to look first when you review it.

We've been surprised by how little input it needs to get going. In testing, two-sentence notes produced usable drafts with sensible service recommendations. Give it a full transcript and it gets even better on the client detail and pain points.

From the team

“We built this to solve a problem every practice owner we spoke to recognised straight away. When you've already done the hard part in the discovery call, the proposal becomes admin. The feedback since launch told us we'd got it right, and having a panel of independent judges agree is a proud moment for the whole team.”

Jonathan Gaunt, Co-Founder, Socket

“AI proposals is a great example of how AI can help experts work smarter not harder. It doesn't make things up, and it tells you when it isn't sure. Getting that right took time, and it makes the feature something you can trust for client-facing documents.”

Rich Nicolson, Co-Founder, Socket

Try it

If you're already on Socket, AI proposals are ready to go. Make sure your services and pricing are set up, then start a new proposal and paste in your notes or transcript. If you're not on Socket yet, you can start a free trial or book a chat with us and we'll show you how it works with your own pricing.

Thanks again to the judges and The Loop, and to every practice whose feedback has gone into this feature.
